Majahual is located in an area known as the Grand Costa Maya, a 58-kilometer strip that runs from Punta Herrero to Xcalak.This is the largest of the Quintana Roo's counties, measuring some 18,760 km2, about 37% the state's landmass.

From any point on the Riviera Maya take Highway 307 south, at the Felipe Carillio Puerto crossroads, before you get to Bacalar. This connects to Highway 184 that crosses the county.

First and second-class buses from the Chetumal Bus Terminal go to all the micro-destinations in the Mexican Caribbean and connected to other states as well. Rent a car or use local taxi services in the main cities to visit outlying areas.
